Debbie Lavoie and Ed Champagne
In 2009, WJ bought three buildings at 1731, 1735 and 1739 Victoria Park Avenue. With them came the duo of Debbie and Ed. This couple had been working as Superintendents in the buildings for seven years.
Debbie and Ed are both born in the Toronto area but each have family on the East coast. Debbie spent much of her youth near potato fields in PEI, while Ed enjoyed plenty of visits with cod-living folks in Newfoundland. These respective backgrounds earn them the playful title of "Fish 'n' Chips".
Only to reinforce this fun is that Debbie is a big vegetable gardener on weekends at their trailer near Lake Simcoe. And, where's Ed while she's tilling the soil? On his boat fishing of course!
